Introduction

With the idea of having an office becoming more of an anchor around the feet of a micro business, sometimes it takes just a change in how they think to enable working from anywhere, especially if they have buildings they are displaying.

Client Requests

This Micro Business requested that they be able to pickup office equipment and move to another display home or location without the need to call for an on-site visit. This process must be seamless and easy.

Challenges

This micro business originally sent us a support ticket as “Move business to Cloud”. The business offices rarely had street call-ins and provided no monetary value, so the business owner decided to cancel his lease with the innovative plan to work directly out of his display homes. Phones, file systems, printers, backups - all required technology transformations. The technology they were working with was:

  • Microsoft Office 365,
  • network attached software,
  • network attached file server,
  • Hybrid analogue/SIP phone system.

Our Solution

Originally ticketed as “Move business to Cloud”. The business offices rarely had street call-ins and provided no monetary value, so the business owner decided to cancel his lease with the innovative plan to work directly out of his display homes. Phones, file systems, printers, backups - all required technology transformations. Our solution was to move the business into the cloud by using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Cloud VoIP and alternative cloud based software for some of their other business software. To enable printing the printer was given a static IP address so it didn't matter where the staff were they could still print.

the Result

The Business was able to move between the various display homes, still be connected all the software and hardware the client needed
